In August, Anna Brostromer, Head of Commercial Information Assurance at the Cabinet Office, delivered a presentation outlining the security aspects of the new contract with Capita.
The Information Assurance team operates independently from the Cabinet Office to ensure it can provide impartial advice and recommendations on security risks and issues.
Anna Brostromer covered the latest government standards and expectations for information protection across departments and partners. She also outlined how security was embedded into the procurement process, the role of the Security Working Group (SWG), the Information Assurance evidence required from Capita before transition and the status of the assurance activities.
The Cabinet Office responded to questions on data sharing, breach management, handling of sensitive data, and risk assessments.
