As the change of administration services has moved to us on 1 December 2025, there are some important updates that we need to make you aware of.
We previously advised that interface files would need to be submitted via the Employer Portal. This is no longer the process for the short term. The Employer Portal will not be ready to accept any files from 1 December 2025 as originally planned.
The short term solution is to send interface files, queries, forms and attachments to us via two options:
- Egress Workspace or
- Email (must be password protected)
However, if you’re concerned about sending data files through email, please contact us directly to work through a solution.
We expect the Employer Portal to be ready to receive interface files, queries, forms, and attachments by the end of January 2026, at which point the submission of all files will be via the Employer Portal.
While we know this solution will delay you from using the Employer Portal, it still provides an opportunity to become familiar with the Employer Portal and raise any questions you have.
As an interim solution you’ll need Egress Workspace or email for:
- Submitting your interface files to Capita
- Sending all forms/attachments to Capita, for example DR1s, Retirements, Statement of Work forms.
HR Directors have been informed about this issue and the Cabinet Office Security Working Group has provided the security assurances to move forward with using Egress Workspace.
To confirm Cabinet Officer Security Working Group has confirmed that Egress is a secure method for sending data to the Scheme.

What is Egress Workspace
Crucially, the Egress Workspace solution is fully secure and supports our priority to deliver the highest level of information security for you and all members of the Civil Service Pension Scheme. It is a cloud-based platform to help users share files and collaborate effectively. It ensures that data is kept secure.
If you are using Egress for your interface submission (standard), Egress Workspace cannot accept 0kb files. If you have any files that do not contain any data, you do not need to submit these files via Egress Workspace.
How do I access Egress Workspace?
You can access Egress via CSPS.egresscloud.com. Please note if you already have an Egress account, you will still need to be invited to the CSPS workspace. An email will be sent to you.
How do I register and what are the arrangements for Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)?
Registration
To register you'll need to provide the following information:
- Email address
- Password (first time logging in only)
- Security questions (first time logging in only)
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
When you log in for the first time, you'll be asked to confirm your chosen verification method. The following options are available:
- Authentication App
- Email
- SMS.
Once you have chosen your preferred authentication method, you are unable to change it. Please check with your organisation if there is any policy in place around the options available.
Once this information is complete you will then have successfully registered and can log into Egress Workspace.

Email
If you are unable to access or utilise the Egress Workspace, please submit the required information to us via email instead.
For the security of your data, we strongly recommend you apply encryption or other security controls (such as a password-protected file). If you do choose to secure your documents, you must inform us of the method used and any necessary passwords in a separate communication.
However if you’re concerned about sending data files through email, please contact us directly to work through a solution.
Interface
You’ll need to email a copy of the interface to: interface@civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk.
Forms and attachments (including DR1s and Retirements)
If you need to submit a form (excluding Statement of Work), you’ll need to email a copy to EmployerRequests@CivilServicepensionscheme.org.uk.
Statement of Work (SOW)
A Statement of Work, will need to be emailed to: Statementofworkrequests@civilservicepensionscheme.org.uk.
Exit Scheme requirements
You will need to complete the Project Statement of Work form with Exit Scheme requirements e.g. timeframes and volumes of leavers.
Our Exit team will impact assess and arrange contact to discuss any additional details and what you can expect.
